OSHA Press Brake Guarding

JM Engineering has guarded over 1000 press brakes, both mechanical and hydraulic  using the ISB Merlin 3000 press brake guarding light curtain.

From 4’ finger brakes to 50’  brakes at naval shipyards we have seen and guarded just about every type of brake that has ever been manufactured.

The Merlin 3000 is the only light curtain on the market specifically designed for use on a press brake. The unique programmable beam blank-out function allows parts to be fabricated safely and quickly. This is the system that both Amada and Trumpf install at the factory. We also have safety devices and systems for guarding the back of press brakes.

Most hydraulic press brakes require a simple interface in order to properly install the light curtains. Mechanical friction clutch and air clutch press brakes require an RBPC  control system to install the light curtains. Contact JM for a quotation on your application.
